Need for Cash - Pro Crxx

    Hi everyone.

I have just tried out the demo of "Need for Speed - Pro Street".
    http://www.gamershell.com/download_21822.shtml

Is it just me that finds this game totally ridiculous?

I have played the series till it started (yes, Need for Speed I) but I'm highly disappointed about the newested game.

    - What for does one need a car damage model when you get the message "low damage"? Shouldn't the damage and car behaviour speak for itself.
    - Even at the end of 2007 you can't drive over a wodden electricity post with over 220 km/h. - State of the art physics where are you?
    - The damage system is totally insane. as well - Make the game somehwat realistic like in NFS Porsche or make it arcade like. But nothing in between.
    - The cars still "feel" like a tin box. Driving a horse waggon is more fun than this.
    - Why can't one drive 2m beside the race track? Invisible barriers are lame. Ok, rhe Witcher also makes use of them, but this is a race game with a very limited view distance.

The only pro imho is that you finally can drive in daylight again. WOW. Though I'd love having a blindfold while playing.

What do you guys think? Am I too hard?

Going to skip this one for sure.

I hated it. I loved Most Wanted and it was probably the best arcade style racer I've ever played. Carbon stunk for a multitude of reasons. Pro Street is taking the series in a more realistic direction, and it ends up being nothing more than a Forza 2 - wannabe.

I was really looking forward to this game but the demo turned me off of it completely.

Non-arcade driving games never really did it for me, so I won't be checking this out. However, something struck me as funny:

If you hit one of these things at that speed in real life, you're ripping your car in half, not knocking the thing down. These posts are solid hardwood and very thick; its like hitting a concrete or steel pole when you're moving that fast.

Couple of years ago on New Years eve a couple of kids were driving drunk down the street doing 56-57 MPH and hit a tree about 2 house down from me. Me and one of my neighbors went out to help them. The one kid (the driver) went through the wind shield and flew 27 feet before coming to a stop in the snow. The other kid was trapped inside the car but we thought he was alive cause his lips were moving but we couldn't get to him and turned out he was already dead and they had to use the Jaws to get his body out of the car. The driver had minor spine injury and got 1 year in jail... he was over the legal limit and got his best-friend killed.

that is a little less then 60 MPH... now image 220 km.

At least death came quick and painless. I don't even drink one beer when I drive. Zero tolerance there.

As for the game: I wished cars would explode, the driver would fly through the window or tcars even could split into 2 pieces. But displaying a "red text message" and ending the round a minute later isn't what I had in mind. This way kids playing the game would also get a more realistic feeling for the deadly consequences of fast driving.

On top of that more freedom in terms of sidepaths next to the road would have been great. Invisible clipping boxes that keep me from driving a bit around aren't helping here.
