I think we could really use to look into some custom maps... They might help keep us a lot more popular.
i agree but we have to be really careful to pick actual good customs. maybe we should wait a while for customs to become more popular with tf2. don't forget, when the map changes and a player has to download a new map, they sometimes just leave, so can hurt us in the long run.

thats true, maybe hold out untill there are some really popular ones out, and also if TF2 is anything like any other source games, we can compress the files with *.bzip and they can be automatically uncompressed once they are downloaded, which should speed up things

TF2 does support bzip just as the others do. Downloads are usually pretty fast. I've played a lot of very good customs.
