    Son of a gun

Every time I try to start TF2 tonight I get an error

    Steam Error -
You do not have enough disk space available to run this game.
Please fee some disk space an try again.

Well I've 140GB available on 1 drive and 120GB available on the other drive.

I've rebooted and don't know what the heck to try now.

Hopefully not go back to the Bad Old Days of Steam.
    A change of Pace.

try deleting the clienregistry.blob from the steam folder or rename it to ClientRegistryOld.blob

do u have vista?, this seen to be effecting the people using vista mostly.
Hit 'em like comic books, kaboom! pow pow!

Next time it happens, I'll try that.

      This time I tried
Check Integrity of the game files and Defrag game content.

      That worked, this time.

      Using Windows 7, same difference.

        FYI -
Doing either the Defrag or Check Integrity fixes the error, you don't have to do both. The defrag is quicker, so I do that.

So this time the defrag did not work. So I tried deleting the clienregistry.blob and restarting Steam. Also did not fix the problem.

Trying the Check file integrity again.

This reminds me of when I TRIED to play BF2 on a regular basis.

WHAT A MESS, it actually was anti-climatic once I figured it out months later.

Getting EA Games to run on my machine was more challanging then the game, I made it become THE GAME !!

Once installed, you guys were playing other games anyways LOL

I feel your pain, my brother, hope you work it out.

              Let the game begin

And once again. Weeks of no problems, and now I can't get TF2 to start.

So who was that healing me as we went around setting people on fire and pushing them into oblivion with Natasha?

It took 35 mins to get it to start. But I'm glad I could help once it finally decided to work.

What a strange occurrence. If it's this persistent after everything you've done to steam, I'd pin the blame on your OS.

Now in the last week I've started getting the Sound Lockup. It maybe time to do a re-install of Windows.

I hate doing that. It takes a full day to get everything reinstalled and configured.
