    BC2 failed to load

Guys, loaded the game on the D drive and it will update from there but it wont .exe the game. Says an improper installation. I had to copy the files from the disk and put them on the D drive first because I was having a Vc8 runtime error that could be corrected by changing the call line in the .ini file.

Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but that was the only way I could correct it so I could install the game at all. I dont really want to reinstall the game if I dont have to. Maybe I missed something when I put it on the D drive. All I did was change the path when it asked me where I wanted to install it. Just changed C: to D: and went from there with the path that they had listed.

Maybe some of you guys ran into this problem before.

Also, I'm finished in the desert for good. I think I'll get drunk.

I haven't had that problem, but the news of no more desert is awesome.

I haven't experienced that problem. I've done an reinstall once already (directly from DVD to a non-default drive & directory). If possible, that's probably your best solution.

It seems like this game's software is too complex. I'd guess this specific problem might be due to their copy protection.

I think I had problems when I tried to run a Steam game from something other then my main drive. I believe i resolved it by reinstalling ot on the main drive.

well the original problem was the C++ runtime error I got. I think it was Vc8 failure to install. Problem is I'm all out of room on this drive. So thats why I tried the other partition. Dunno what the problem is. Guess I'll have to do something else. Like get a new drive and install Windows 7 on it.

          Thanks though

Back your Steam Games up and then install Steam on the partition. Then reload your saved games into Steam.
