Trouble w/mic

I need a lot of help.

1 ever time I go online my mic gets auto muted need help with that.

2 I also can't seem to put the tag on. So how did you guys do that?

You just have to add it in front of your name. There should be a place for you to edit your in-game name. Unfortunately, CoD4 only allows 15 characters in a username.

Murphy, is it actually muted where you have to uncheck the mute in control panel or is it that no one can hear you? If they can't hear you, play with the voip slider in Options. COD4 does funny things to mic especially if you're trying to use ventrilo at the same time....just keep playing with settings.

I have to go into my control panel and unmute my mic every time I start the game. For some crazy reason my mic gets muted every time.
So I for now I have to minamize the game and go to my control panel and unmute it........ever time O well

At least you can alt tab your game...If I try that, my mouse cursor is stuck in the top left of my screen. I have to shut game off just to visit our forums in between games!

I get that too. Just left click the desktop while it's stuck and it will allow you to move it again.

You might try reinstalling/updating soundcard drivers....sounds like there's an error causing windows to mute the mic.

I get that too. Just left click the desktop while it's stuck and it will allow you to move it again.
