    Antec 900

Anyone have this case? I just bought one today...Seems like antec is starting to use cheaper materials. I have not put anything in the case so far... Just curious if anyone is using this case and what there opinions are on it?

I know that there a bunch of people on the EVGA site that use the 900. It seems to be popular with guys that do some serious overclocking. I also think that Maximum PC did a review on it at some point you could always got to their site and search for the review.

I know somebody here was using one ... they tried to talk me out of buying the Antec P180 I had my eyes on and go with the 900 ... I bought the P180. Its been a rock so I don't regret that decision. The 900 didn't quite fit the bill for me.

I'd take the p180 over the 900 too. There's something about the 900 that i just don't like.

          My issues with the 900:

          1) Top mounted USB front ports - didn't fit well in my hutch
          2) Power button in plain view on front (I have an 18 month old button presser at home, nuff said)
          3) A bit too broken up in its lines, like looking at a Stealth Fighter .. there are too many angles to it when I preferred a clean look.
          4) Front mounted fans and mesh move a LOT of air, meaning it gets dusty in a hurry.

I have an Antec 900, but I didn't try to talk WT out of the 180. :P The 180 is a nice case, but I got a deal on the 900.
I think the 900 is a nice case, especially for the price. It as a LOT of fans (one of which is a 200mm!) and keeps everything nice and cool. I have all of the fans set to medium, and they aren't that loud. there is also room to add more fans if you think you need more.
I personally like the top mounted USB, power, and headphone jacks, because my computer sits under my desk. Also, I like the blue color of the front fans. The Zalman 9700 also has a blue light and matches perfectly.
I never felt that the case was flimsy. The only real drawback I can think of is that you have to remove both sides to remove the drive enclosures, and you can't switch out drives without removing the enclosures. That wasn't really a big deal for me, though. Overall I would recommend it.

Dead, you better open that thing up and check for dust !!! I'm very curious to see how its faring internally.
I do admit to having the 900 on my short list of cases, but putting it under the desk was not an option using my current setup. My wife likes to hide my PC away in the hutch, so the top mount was the #1 dealbreaker.

I still don't understand the concept of hiding a PC in a hutch, when I have a 24" LCD on top of the desk screaming 'Look at MEEEEE".

yea hopefully dust inside the case want be a problem. What do you think about the psu mounting on the bottom? I got it new for 90 bucks and felt it was a pretty good deal.

it was me talking about the 900! but i didn't own it! we were discussing the p180, and the p180b(the uber shiney one, remember?!?!)

mostly because while i love my 180(which i got after you), one thing always irked me about it. the plastic retentions clips used to hold the side panels on. they break! and the 900 series was far more futuristic. but that aside, i won't give up my p180 now. its DEAD silent.

I went through that about two and a half years ago.

I have noticed that the front gets really dusty, and I periodically wipe it off. I have vacuumed out the inside once, but I don't think it was any dustier than normal. Probably need to check it again though... One thing about this case is there is no way to add a filter for the fans.
