    Whats better?

    Just wondering...

    the EVGA 512MB 8800 GTS

    or

    the EVGA 512 8800 GT?

    Whichever is cheaper

Both perform extremely well, so I'd just take the cheaper of the two. Supposedly the new GTS will be better, not sure by how much though. The GT is an awesome card in its own right though, so I'd say let price guide you

Just curious...god knows I don't even have enough money right now to even buy a sound card...couple of years, and I WILL have the ultimate gaming computer...

kyler , you ought to consider modding your dell case. its fun, and its a good way to take revenge on dell!

some time ago, someone modded a dell case "dell from hell"

        it was cool!

Mod what? I don't have any more room...
See for yourself... I had to stick the extra cords from the PSU in that empty CD-ROM area because I only have the one CD-Drive and thats it...

          Not much room for anything...

          Thermotake power supply 500 Watts

          BFG 640MB 8800GTS Graphics Card

The only area that could be expanded or modded is the area for the hard drives...as you can see I only have one...

          Current Specs...

          Dell XPS 410
Microsoft Windows XP Media Center 2005 SP2
          Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6400 (2.13 GHz, 1066FSB) w/ 2MB Cache (5.75 GHz)
          Thermaltake TR2-500 watts PSU
          3GB DDR2 667Mhz (PC2-5300)
BFG NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS OC 640MB PCI Express-16
250GB SATA II Hard Drive (7200RPM)
          16X DVD+R/RW CD-RW Combination Drive
          Intergrated Audio

What modifications would you make, and where?

one of my technology teachers builds a computer every year with money from the school, last year he took an old dell case, and put insane hardware inside of it, it rivaled most supercomputers xD

ok, even though you dont care for the bling factor:

you dont need an awesome computer to do an awesome case mod. i mean, darth nevus' ghetto Cd player /thing that he posted a while back, while being a total case mod (as opposed to using something already a computer case) is example.

My Dad would have none of it. The words "new" amd "computer" put together and I would have to (take cover). The word "computer" and "upgrade", and I would have to
My Dad does not even allow this type of discussion, because the answer is always NO. Sigh...once I get a credit card, maybe in a couple of years...at least once the 9800 series comes out.
