I was kinda wondering if they were going to bring this back to life, seems they won't be, But while looking at this i found this site

When you sign up for the gun club before BF3 is released you can unlock the M1911 Pistol in multi-player. Sure its only a handgun, but its a dang good handgun also one extra weapon to have early.

i think if you registered for the vet program back in BC2 your auto registered for the gun club. the gun club is upgraded version of the vet program, did you sign up for that?

Try to log into the gun club and your badges should auto pop up. it did it for me that way anyway

The vet program is not something you sign up for. Gun club, I have no idea. I followed your link and it turns out I was already a member, I don't eve remember creating an account. Anyways, I got the pistol I hate most in any shooter.

actually kinda did have to sign up/set it up when it first started mostly because you had to link your games to your account
