First Time Account Setup, Change your Origin name...Easy!

Downloaded Origin client WWW.ORIGIN.COM/DOWNLOAD

Logged in and right next to my origin name there is a "change" button. Changed it to JedClampetCLR it showed a green check and accepted it!

where is the option to change your name?

Yep. There was a button right next to my Origin name labeled "Change". Click it and should give you option to type a new one. I bet they were inundated with requests for profile name changes...

Not sure why you can't see it. I'm not home at my gaming computer currently. I did not have the Origin client so I downloaded it from here. http://origin.com/download

It's not a web page, it just pops up a windows to DL the Origin client, about 45MB.

maybe if you uninstalled it and on the reinstall it would show up?

Strange thing is, I had already set my origin name as JedClampetLike when I logged in to EA the other day. They said it would be my Origin name and to pick carefully that it could not be changed. I then downloaded and installed origin for the first time today and had the option to change it. Sorry guys!

Yeah, I remember it saying the same for me, but I was afraid if I tried it I'd lose the one I have and have to make an even lamer one!
