Do I need the Complete Collection?

I'm looking at this and I see there are 4 games.
Do I need them all (Complete Collection) ?

No you don't. If Cain is running a regular BF2 server, you won't need the expansions to play. However, if he is running a Special Forces server (SF), then yes, you need that expansion to play.

If you get them all, you will be able to play whatever type of server you want to play on.

I think most of us have the regular one, with a few having SF.

You need vanilla BF2 to play what we are gonna play. Best to have SF as well incase we play that and it will give you all the unlocks for Vanilla as well.

Plus, Special Forces is just plain FUN. It's more fun than Vanilla BF2, and there are some good maps to boot.

Okay I will have too reinstall my BF2 back on my computer but will I have lost all my unlocks that I had before uninstalling the game? And will we have too grab any updates for BF2?

If nothing else SF gives you double the unlock and some of the new weapons are better. IE L96A and the F2000.

Your unlocks and ranks and all are tied to your game ID, not stored on your hard drive. So when you log back in, if you are using the same login you had originally, then all your stuff should be back.

And yes, you will have to grab any update for BF2.

+1000 I like SF so much more than vanilla BF2. Too bad we can't run both types on the server...

It would empty us. For some unknown reason, SF never caught on in a Cain's Lair server. Even though it's far more fun. I just don't get it.

I'll have to reinstall it. nothing I love more than squad based games
especially bf2 I was so amazed with it when it came out I played the demo
for so many hours non stop that I ranked up and unlocked weapons
I'm so glad there are still people that want to play bf2.
