Oh man. I got a call last night at 10:30. My recruiter says " I am going to pick you up at 4:30 tommorow morning." No, can you do it, or anything like that, just, I am picking you up. So I go to do my Initial Strength Testing(or Training, I forgot), man that was pretty tough. The actual testing was the easy part, but as we were all waiting for others to finish up, we got PTed to get a taste of what is coming. We were doing different exercises for about half an hour straight in the sun, after running a mile and a half and doing sit ups, pushups and crunches. Anyone know what Mountain Climbers are? Those are tough. and I smashed someones fingers pretty hardcore.

You might want to keep doing them every day until boot camp. You will be less sore during the initial phase of boot camp.
One word on advice though. Do not do more push ups than the DI. A friend of mine could do push ups all day long. The DI's do not appreciate it. It did not take him long to realize it though.

One thing I really enjoyed though: In most places in the world, you are encouraged to not be loud and not yell and scream. But in the Marines, you better sound off. I had some fun screaming HOORAH and YES SIR. LOUD.
And Apache, that is exactly what the officers and other Marines who were there said.

Like my brother trying to describe in letters the pits where they did exercises sometimes when teh DI's were bored or wanted to punish them, send them there. He says it's sand, so I'm imagining sandy soil. No, we get to Parris Island to pick him up at the end of boot camp, and they're wooden sided, white sand, sand boxes, giant ones albeit. They made them do exercises in the sand, throw it down shirts, pants, and keep going. Now fine sand everywhere while exercising is torture, heh. And you never stop finding sand :P
