    Any good non-online games?

That wouldn't be too hard on a 2-3 year old computer? My internet is taken regularly so I need a good sp game to keep me busyt

    Any suggestions?

I love Company of Heroes, but it is a bit steep on the system requirements. Half Life 2, since you already have the Orange Box, but I should assume you've played that already.
Unreal Tourney series ... tournament mode against bots.

What type of game are you looking for? Shooter? RPG? RTS? Fighting? Platformer? Adventure?

And does it need to be recent? There are some great SP games going back the last ten years, some still worthy of a play-through today (even given their dated graphics).

See if you can get ahold of the first half life, its never gets old jumping around on Xen

Or try getting Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. The size of the game is the equivelant of New England.

Sins of the Solar Empire is excellent. Company of Heroes is also a good one, and my 4 year old or so computer was able to run it okay (not on uber settings, but still high enough to look good). The Dawn of War RTS series is made by the same folks that did CoH (Relic/THQ) and is a lot less demanding on your system. I believe there is a Platinum Pack out with all the expansions included. I got a lot of mileage out of this one.

Alien Shooter: Vengeance, Scorched 3D, Soldat are time killers and are very easy to run and not one of those is more then a Gig. Hours if not weeks of fun from these...

+1 to this one. We can give you much better recommendations if you tell us what kind of game(s) you are looking for.

He'll have a little trouble with a 3 year old system on Bioshock, but otherwise it's certainly a "Gots to Play" game for any gamer.

                            Agreed.

And if you haven't played any games from the Homeworld series, which were also made by Relic, I strongly recommend you check them out. Especially the first one....by far one of my favorite games, and quite possibly one of the best fully 3D RTS games ever made. And they'll run well even on a slightly dated machine such as yours.

Dang, now I want to go play Homeworld again *goes looking for disks*

I believe that you're talking about Dawn of War: Gold edition, which includes both expansions. These expansions include the imperial guard, and one other race which I can't remember the name of. it's a great game and shouldn't tax your older system that much.
