It'll be a few more weeks until you see me in TF2

I had planned on buying it this week, but I opted to take a golf ball-sized chunk of asphalt to the windshield instead. It hit really low on it so it didn't smash too badly, but I did see my windshield push in on the impact. Thankfully, all it did was create a nice 6 or 7 inch crack in the middle. I wasn't hurt or anything, but I can kiss a good portion of my next paycheck goodbye.

And this happened not two hours after I ordered my Decemberists tickets. I'm glad I opted for the regular $35 ones rather than the $85 ones.

Those cracks often spread to much much bigger over time. Best to take care of it now.

Really sucks when you plan and are ready to buy something for yourself and shiat like this happens. But hey, at least it was just a windshield.

Yeah, but how much is the windshield, and would it affect your premiums? Have to look at those too. If the windshield is say, 500 bucks and it won't do much to the monthly premium payments, it's probably better to eat the deductable than shell out all of it out of pocket.

Insurance companies are usually forgiving for a first windshield claim. If it constantly happens, then your premiums may change, but not likely for the first.

I've had mine changed twice. premiums never went up but many insurance companies have a different deductible for windshields usually $300. Other insurance companies have their own service to replace windshields.

              Look carefully at your policy.

Odd choice. Personally, I would've opted for TF2.

I am filing a claim. I guess I should have made it clear that the $100 deductible was going eat a large part of my paycheck. I only make around $100/week (I get paid every two weeks so my paycheck is usually around $200). Once you factor in what I pay for gas (I usually put on about 350 miles per week which equates to about $55 in gas), I'm not left with much. Thankfully, I don't have many other expenses. I still live at home and I'm on my parents' insurance. I do need to get new tires and I'd like to get a subwoofer (I've had a new radio and an amp sitting around for a few months now.) and put some money in my car. (The shocks, for example, really could stand to be replaced.)

Oh well, easy come, easy go.
