    Someone told me that the Fallout series is possibly derived from a Commodore 64 game called "Wasteland" anyone can confirm this?

    I'm not sure about the C64 version but I played on and IBM XT when I was in college.

        Considering that the makers are Interplay (the makers of Fallout 1 and 2), there's a great chance that this is the Father or all the Fallout games. Old weapons...Mutants...simple quests...creating and editing your stats/skills. Yup, I'd say that this is the Almighty Father of the Fallout series.
