Looking for Dawnguard (Skyrim), Spec Ops, Others?

Gamefly.com has a sale this weekend where Dawnguard is 13.49 and a bunch of other titles like Spec Ops: The Line, The Darkness II, and Mafia II are $7.49. With coupon code 2GFT82012, you get an additional 20% off. They all activate on Steam if you plug in the key code.

I just bit on Dawnguard, Spec Ops, and Mafia II. If you're like me and didn't want to pay $20 for a DLC pack for Skyrim, this is a good time to pick up Dawnguard for about $10.80.

    Enjoy.

mafia 2 was a solid game. a bit more mainstream'd approach, but still a solid effort. though, like LA Noire, i wish they had utilised the awesome/giant city they created.

i'll give it to bethesda, they've allowed mods... but imo it makes their DLC a hard purchase. even moreso when pretty much everything has been from that sweet company contest they had where they all made their own mods for Skyrim. so needless to say there'll be a goblin army addon which is pretty awesome, and dragon mounts. there's also a werebear transformation, so maybe that'll come out in some were-themed expansion.

considering they've been taking from stuff that's already done and the rest is mostly just polish, i bet the staff they have working on it isn't that big anymore.

which makes me wonder what they're focusing on now fallout 4? maybe a new ip? it kills me that fallout is now a bethesda game but whatever, still fallout-y enough.

The Elder Scrolls Online Is what I "hope" they are focusing on, at least it is slated to come out sometime next year. Hopefully sooner in the year than later.

MMO's are so hard to judge pre release...I hope for the best but I have a feeling a flop is on the way

I hope they're working on the next Fallout or Elder Scrolls title. They are likely working on the MMO (which I will NOT play), and a large scale expansion to Skyrim a'la Shivering Isles.

Hopefully Fallout. If so then I would like it to have more of the feel of Fallout 3 than New Vegas. 3 had more of a gritty feel and I loved all the national monuments. New Vegas felt to civilized and lacking that "I've been right there" vibe.

Fallout 3 was fun for me personally because I live in the DC region so it was fun seeing it reflected in an alternate future. Fallout NV was more fun as a game, especially with some of the DLC.

Both are fantastic games, so I'm good either path.

They just need more of that AWESOME period music.

Duke, I saw you have Hearthfire. Which home are you making your main house? I've taken on Lakeview Manor with bedrooms, storage, and armory, and built the other additions on the other two places.

Interesting little mod, and really time consuming if you build any of the houses legit. I'm building all of Lakeview and bought the furniture for the other two (haven't been back to them yet, so I'm looking forward to what they look like inside).

In the process of starting to move some of my key junk from Solitude and Whiterun to the new house, but I'll probably leave a bunch left behind, like my epic pile of pilfered Sweet Rolls.

Watch out putting rings in a display box. I'm going to have to load 2 rings from Dawnguard on my character because they bloody disappeared. Apparently rings and display boxes don't play nice.

The only problem with Lakeview is with my neighbors. Between the Legendary Dragon and the guy raising the dead next door, it gets a bit hectic.

I started with the one near Markarth but I didn't like the location. I then went all out on the Lakeview spot, I haven't fully furnished it yet. I did adopt a kid who hangs out with my wife (Mjoll the lioness) while I run around Skyrim with the vampire babe.

Soon I want to go to all my other houses and collect all my prized possessions and display them. I was not very organized with my storage so this could take some time.
