Not entirely sure I'm happy with this idea, I don't know how good it is to have the government digging that deeply in to health records, especially with government "computer security".

let's see-

Most major healthcare systems already digitized your health records.

Sharing them with the US government without a supeona is pretty much a no go when I look at my own personal rights.

Becoming pre-screened for insurance and health benefits is not really a fair thing, and it wont accomplish much more than biological segregation.

Trust me this is not something you want... I work in the field of EMR (electronic medical records), and am one of the developers that writes software for that purpose. In Canada we are forced to integrate with the new Gov. systems which still use dial in VPNs... the security of the records is an absolute joke + with thier new system any doctor can pull your electronic chart, I've worked in several doctor's offices and most dont even have windows passwords, let alone other forms of network security..... not even to mention the invasion of personal privacy
