    Not Anchorage, but...

Here's the forecast for temps in Madison for the next few days.

    http://www.weather.com/weather/tenda...nav_undeclared

Minus 19 F is about minus 28 Celsius, for those with a more advanced system of measurement!

Watch out! On Tues a heat wave is hitting, a whopping 29F!

BTW, Fahrenheit is actually more precise than Celsius (just about the only unit of measurement that the American way doesn't suck).

More precise, maybe...but zeros and 100s beat 32s and 212s...fractions, etc...I guess that's what I was getting at.

              It's -11 F here in VT.

On a side note, if you want to convert C to F all you need to do is double the number, subtract %10 and then add 32. Our weather reports are in C and when I make PAs I give both C and F.

              Example 5 deg C. Double it = 10 subtract 1 = 9 add 32 = 41 deg F.

              Example -40 deg C Double it = -80 subtract -8 add 32 = -40 deg F.

              I picked -40 because that's where C and F are equal.

Well the exact conversion is TC=(5/9)*(TF-32) and TF= (9/5)*TC+32....but Duke's will get you a good estimate if you don't want to memorize those...for some reason I like numbers and formulas...
