How does this affect someone that only buys games on steam.

I try to find games at gamestop but their tiny little rack with PC games behind all the guitar hero accesories only has shovelware and those big Battle Chests for Warcraft and Diablo 3.

nothing, you can buy mw2 over steam or buy a physical media. Steam will be a program that you will need. (I think cause of Vac) Kinda like the days when you needed to install gamespy browsers except; IWnet will be doing the matchmaking

That's BS... If the server tools aren't available, the game will just crash... And I'm seriously reconsidering to not buying it right now...
