    Will Bing Overtake Google?

I heard Yahoo and BING plans for the future in that in the next 5 years that it'll overcome Google in the next 5 years.

    Think this can be done?

Websearch that is built into IE.

These days, Yahoo is pretty much a non entity. Google will always be #1 imo. Just like ebay.

Isn't that what AOL thought, at one time?

To answer the original question: nope.

As long as Bing keeps ripping off Google results, they certainly aren't going to compete.

i seem to get better results off of google than i do bing. plus, sounds stupid. i wonder how much they paid some PR firm to come up with names and bing was the result.

Well, I've never been one that liked to see one particular company monopolize a certain area, but I have to say I don't think it'll happen.

The interesting thing about google is they haven't stayed with just a search engine. You're going to see a lot more of google around in your everyday life and some areas they get involved in may surprise you.

AOL's a bit different of a company. To me personally the most awesome thing about Google is they make actually useful stuff. While it's true this useful stuff is driven by advertising the cool thing is they don't bludgeon you with commercials.

AOL from the get go was a walled garden where you had to pay to enter and then the internet came along and they tried to become an ISP...
