what is the difference between the + / - on dvd/cd/br discs?

Back in the day recording DVDs wasn't a unified deal, some used the minus R, some used the plus R. I'd say just about all DVD burners today can do minus and plus. But back in the dark ages, Win 95 and under I'd say, there were minus R burners, and plus R burners. They didn't do both. How ever, after the disc was burnt, it could be read by either.

Not true Devilguns. I worked at Circuit City for many a year and most CD/DVD players you'd plug in to your TV would play one or the other, but not both.

Typically your computer DVD drives will read and write to both, although sometimes you'd only be able to write to one. If you want a good read on the differences, here you go:

thanks guys. i started up my own landscaping biz, and one of the things i am doing is putting all the designs and bids etc on CD for folks. was looking at killer 100 bundle packs, but just wanted to make sure the + or - wasnt going to screw me.
