Longer Load Times after patch

Has anyone else gotten longer load times after the big patch?

I've got a monster PC (maybe not monster monster) but it's clocked to 4.4GHz and loading the level could take a few minutes.. Before it took about 45 seconds...

Any ideas?

I haven't noticed any change. I'm still at less than 1 minute.

Sounds like something is trying to connect or load, and then it fails. After it waits long enough to time out, the game loads for you. I guess you could try googling for that problem. I doubt you're the only one.

A manual Punkbuster update has fixed some "new problems", but you'll never know until you try.

New patch today ?

After the last patch my times did go up about 20 seconds per map.

When I first join the server I do have a really long load time. But after being in there and changing to different maps the load times decrease.

Perhaps it's just on the first load up. If that's the case then it's normal. Or your computer has too much porn and it has to sift through it all to find BF3.

My load times increased after the patch also.

Mine didn't increase, they just stopped working all together sometimes. I would load the map for 2 minutes, close and restart for it to work, if it did.

I am not having problems with load times. I am having problems with Punkbuster.

ALWAY'S fails to load first go. Then will start.
PB has kicked me for missing packets lately.

I dunno, it always takes me longer.
Here's how I load:

Click "Join Server"
Game tries to load, ends up with windows 7 error stating program stopped working and must close
Click "Join Server" again
Game tries to load but then battlelog says something like "Unable to join game" in red
Click "Join Server" Yet AGAIN
Game tries to load but then battlelog says "You have been disconnected from EA Online"
Click "Join ServeR" before I go into a fit
Game tries to load and actually does, but I usually have to click on the BF3 icon in the task bar.

Frustrating but worth it, even when I get in the game and KPhantom gets my tags again!
