    psu dying, new one arrived

    XD
Other night my psu started clicking on power up.
I heard this before on my last one.
The psu i have now is a replacement from an RMA with the same issue.
The psu before lasted 6mths this ones gone near 6yrs.
    So no complaints...

    Anyway, i picked this up

Should replace my 650 easy hehe

Time to slowly upgrade my pc again

Yes, they are great, just make sure if you have multiple modular power supplies you keep the cables for each PSU together, and keep them in a location where when you add a component 3 years from now you aren't running around looking for the right cable.

So true. I keep them in the original box in storage, until I need them

My old ones just a normal cable set, only issue with it is it has about 6 of sata, 6molex, 2 floppy, 2 cpu, 2 cpu, 4 pcie...
So can imagine how my case looks.

So went modular to finally remove the clutter.

Psu came with a wee baggie to keep them in, proper not plastic zip lock.
So will be easy on the storage part hehe

Installed, PSU was def dying, pc is working a lot harder now, so much better, faster, stronger!

And if anyone says ANYTHING about me working next to a fluffy rug, on a carpet, let me just say this.

You can assemble a pc anywhere as long as you dont wriggle your butt around, and you have your stuff waiting next to you.
Position is key, work from behind the pc, not the bottom.
I never moved one inch hehe.

                    edit:
thou, my mum did say i'll hold that bit for you,
as i was putting the ports back on the top.
she got 1/2 an inch from the case and ZAP
                    hehe

I got one IDE dvd-rw everything else is SATAII (can do III) 1tb drive, and DVD-RW which i 'saved' from being scrapped at work.
the other sata hdd there is a 40GB, its never used but it keeps a working copy of win7 on it

I've had this case for years love it

Nice PSU choice Sirex. I really like Thermaltake cases too. I have a Shark which I love. Unfortunately I had to shelve it because current gen video cards no longer fit inside it.
