My wife had a Nook, so she has a number of EPUBs that she bought from BN. Well, the Nook crapped out on her just after Christmas. I bought her a Kindle Touch for Valentines Day, and I wanted to convert the books so she could read them on the Kindle. I installed Calibre to convert them to PDF, but it doesn't appear to be able to remove the DRM from the EPUBS. Anybody know a good (hopefully free) app to remove DRM from EPUBs?

You can use calibre to remove DRM. You just need the plugins. Apprentice Alf is your friend.

Download the 4.8 zip tools and follow the directions. You just install into Calibre. I use it all the time.
This is a file that contains plugins for all of the different types of DRM. Easy to install and then when you load the books into Calibre it automatically strips the DRM. The only books you can not strip DRM from is Apples. That is why I will not buy books from them.
If you like to read ebooks check out Mobile Reads. They also have a free library of books that are out of copyright.
