Hi guys I have been really busy lately, the list of things is huge. Today is hang TV day and set up the network. I bought a switch, this one, Newegg.com - Buffalo BS-G2116U 16-port Rackmount Gigabit Switch 101000Mbps 16 x RJ45 . I also have some slick modem/router from Comcast. I thought you could just take a plug from the router and put it into a switch. I don't see an input plug though, Does this thing sense what it plugged into it the set it up automatically?

No manual, just this sheet. http://www.buffalotech.com/files/pro...-G21U_DS_2.pdf
My first impression was that this thing is for professionals who would know what to do. After reading that is senses the chord type I figured I would just plug everything and see what happens. So far so good.
I wonder if all those ports on the on line from the router will be slower then one plugged directly to the router. If this is the case I know what I will be doing with my desktops connection.
