    Beat This

I had to go to the Doctor's Office the other day.
    Blood Pressure 116/66
    Pulse 51

Pretty damn good for some one who is 55. 40 years of Martial Arts Training does pay off.
And Pulse was not even my resting heart rate either.
NBA Players have an average resting heart rate of 55.

Your pulse rate is low because your heart stopped working back in the first World War.

Don't get too confident. My resting heart rate is Olympian-level at about 45 bpm, but I have myocardial regurgitation and arrthymia, and am about 25-30 pounds heavier than I would like to be (6'0, 218 ).

Thats great apache. I am guessing you have already practiced being able to drop your heart rate through mediation techniques.

This really freaked out my doctor when suddenly he could hardly feel anything..
I never got used to making it rise though.

                    Good results Apache!
                    Not very scary though.
Just to add a some healthy fear, I'll mention that medical researchers are developing a blood test to detect a person's first heart attack before it happens. Currently, there is no such test.

That is impressive. My resting pulse is in the 70's, even after running on a regular basis for the last year.
