M-COM defender question

I need the M-COM defender dog-tag. My question is. I am defending, I plant 3 C4's, I run like a girly and hide. Wait for them to arm the M-COM and I blow up my C4's. I earn the M-COM defense points but does the M-COM gets damage cause of my C4?


So far 1 ribbon down, 9 more togo After that, I'm done with Rush...(I think)

You need 50 for the medal. And mCom defender isn't for blowing up people after they armed the mCom. You need to be near it, and once a person is near the mCom and arming it, you need to kill them. You have a 3 second window to kill them. I got it by hiding in a hardcore server inside a bush and waiting for them to arm it. Once the mCom is armed, you don't get the mCom defender weapon.
