I'm wanting to build my business associate a new PC for work.

She would probably love the look of this case and the size.

Does it stay cool enough with that bottom solid front panel on??

Can you go back to the first post and post links of all your hardware? (I'm not sure which CPU you used. Thanks!!)

It does, There is a gap all around it where the air is drawn in by the 140mm fan. This fan can also be changed to 2 120mm fans and possibly 2 140mm fans if needed. I'll post more pics of it later or tomorrow (depending on light).

Will get the links done this evening.

edit: What kind of links? One's to manufacturer websites? Or stores?

Links to mfg sites would be great.

Take a photo or two of the front as you look at the finished machine.

thanks, I'm LOVING your new machine!

Thank you Juneau. Really sharp looking machine..

I'm considering just using the built in video for her. She does CAD and GIS but mainly office apps. I'm thinking the CPU video may be fine for her.

            Thoughts folks?

Hmm I'm not too sure the gfx if the CPU would be enough. I imagine it could be OK with 2D but I'm unsure about 3D. I also don't think the CPU would use hardware acceleration.

CAD usually prefers a dedicated card like an Nvidia Quattro or AMD Fire. However low to mid range AMD card also have enough "grunt" to get the job done. Maybe try looking at a HD7770?

How complex is her CAD work?

Onboard would appear to be fine then. The GPU on the new Haswell chips appear to be a little better than the previous gen from some things I've read.

Oh my god... some of those rigs on that website have given me an erection. It's just too much. I need a break.

Question Juneau The radiator fans, they push air thru the radiator, not pull air through, correct?

You can set them up either way. Mine are currently pushing air through the radiator and out of the case. Not the most efficient way to cool but I don't want any intakes not being covered by a dust filter.

Once I get one of these I'll be switching the fans around.
