Isaac Asimov envisions the 2014 World Fair in 1964

Really interesting read. It's amazing how right he was about some things and how far off on others.

    I love articles like this!

There's always mention of floating cars and robot's doing all our work. However, I for one believe that these 2 items are a long long way off, especially floating cars.

I would wonder which side of the "road" would the UK float on?
Maybe they would drive upside down?

I don't know why this reminded me of something Jeremy Clarkson once said on a segment on Top Gear. In regards to San Francisco banning any vehicle that weighs more than 2.7 tons because they were destroying the roads. "Why ban the cars? Most American pedestrians weigh that much."

I guess he hasn't seen how fat some in the UK have become.

It's true. Seems to be mainly our ladies too. However it hasn't quite become the epidemic we're seeing across the pond just yet. Give it time though.

I think some of the weight gain in children in NYC has slowed down with one of the last charts. Then again with the change in mayor coming we will see what happens.

We have quite the energy drink problem over here. Seems most kids can't get through the day without drinking at least 3 large cans of the stuff. It's disgusting.
