Patches to get the game running?

I recently tried to boot up 2142, and found that I couldn't find the proper patches to bring it up to date with current servers. Anyone have any insight? And more to the point, does anyone else watch this branch of the forums anymore? I miss my 2142 buddies

You might have a non-patch related problem (from wikiped.)
"As of July 2014, all online components of the game have been deactivated following the shutdown of Gamespy. Limited multiplayer is available on other hosting services such as GameRanger."
- You'll need to do more searching.

I miss 2142 as well. The best IMO(except for that snow map with the centipede like tank).

I booted it up last year and there were very few servers still up and running. Worse was that there was no longer any sort of Punkbuster running on any of the servers I checked. It was pretty much spawn and headshot. It really sucked because 2142 is my fave online game ever.

Edit: Just for fun I just tried it and the game sticks on trying to contact EA servers, even for the offline bot battles. Nice to hear the theme song though.
