    fallout 4 DLC

I was going to pre-order fall out 4 and you can buy all DLC in the future for $30.

While I do love fallout franchise.. I have never really done much with DLC. Mainly because I can't restart a game once I have finished it... most of the allure has gone away.
Has anyone done the other fallout DLC and what are your opinions?

I didn't do the DLCs for Fallout 3, but I did all of the ones for FNV. To be honest doing all of the DLC kinda caused me to get burnt out on the game.

I'm like you in that I have a hard time coming back to a game when DLCs come out if I have already finished it. For FNV, I picked them up all at once before I had finished the main story and just periodically took time away from the main storyline to do a DLC. They were good, but it got to be a bit much

I've done all the DLC for FO3 and for New Vegas. The ones for FO3 pretty much gave you more of a good thing because FO3 was so good by itself. The DLC for Vegas took a pretty meh game and made it pretty good because it was so much better than the base story line.

The dlc for Vegas gave you a Silent Hill type of setting, a comical sci-fi setting that reminded me of All Humans Must Die and a chapter to wrap up the game in a heavily story driven native American setting. There was also something called gun runners arsenal that just upgraded the weapon system.

FO3 had a slavery dlc set in Pittsburgh, an alien spaceship setting, a VR setting vs ninjas, a swamp Halloween feeling setting and one that basically was just there to undo the sad ending of FO3.

I expect one of the dlcs for FO4 to be some some sort of Hearthfire-esque house building mod.

I didn't care for Vegas nearly as much in the base game. It had a different creative team and somehow didn't start in a vault. How do you have fallout without a vault?

I haven't done the DLC for the fallout series but the DLC for Skyrim was amazing and worth every penny, I'll pay as I go for this one.

Stop being a sheep. Don't pre-order. Just wait, there will even be better offers.

Phantom I don't see anything better until after holiday season. Also I want to play it now and willing to pay the extra 10-15 bucks. I usually don't spend much money but on the things I will use.

So you can play this game now if you pre order?

Not now.. next month it comes out. I think Phantom is willing to wait a couple of months for a better price.

Oh, no, I think the Fallout series is awful. I wouldn't play it if it were free. I just hate when people pre-pay for something unfinished and then complain when the company doesn't care after release. (Which is what I did with BF4 and will never again)

I found very little needed to be patched in the Fallout series. I also except there will be bugs... nothing is ever perfect. As long as it is fun.

There are a few games I would pre pay for, Half life three and probably a Skyrim title. Unless there is some kind of savings then I'll wait.

For FO3 and FO NV the DLC was great, much added value but especially for NV as already said. There are already some pre-order deals but I'm holding off myself until I see something better or it gets a couple days out, but either way I'll be playing FO4 on the first day (unless there is a massive day 0 patch).

I'll probably hold off on the DLC/Season Pass. I'd rather see what's in it rather than go in blind, and that's the case for any game no matter how good. I haven't bought the Witcher 3 pass but did pick up the first DLC after seeing more info on it.

Rico, you said: "I expect one of the dlcs for FO4 to be some some sort of Hearthfire-esque house building mod." This is actually baked into the core game for Fallout 4. You're going to be able to build entire towns apparently.

I saw that but I still expect some DLC to expand to that concept. I am thinking the way gun runners arsenal expanded the weapon system in Vegas and the way you could put a theme in your Megaton house in FO3. The Sims built an empire on adding in more lamps and couches evey 6 months.

Rico, I was the opposite. I enjoyed FNV more than FO3, maybe because I hated going through all of the subway tunnels. FNV was more open space.

I will be getting FO4, but I plan on asking for it for Christmas. If I don't get it then, I will order it soon after.

On a side note, I reinstalled FNV the other day as a bit of a primer. Having a lot of fun with it.
