So for work I need to encrypt some "sensitive" information, but I don't want to encrypt the whole drive. Does anyone know of any encryption software that can encrypt a folder as opposed to the whole drive? It would need to work on XP and Vista.... it would be a plus if it worked on Linux/Unix and Mac. Anybody have some suggestions?

Not completely sure but i have heard good things about TrueCrypt. Maybe thought about just password protecting the folder?

I use TrueCrypt. You basically create a virtual drive of whatever size you need. THen you mount it via the software and it shows up as a hard drive. It works pretty well. I have a 10GB "drive" that just looks like some unknown file when it isn't mounted.
