Do I need both the core mod and map files to play?

I think so,but I just don't want to admit it. it's going to take awhile to download

You must have the core mod plus the core maps (2 separate downloads) plus most servers are running the iamtheheadhunter map pack as well.

If you already have the old AIX 1.0 mod installed you only need a single patch to upgrade, plus the iamtheheadhunter pack.

Yes, It may take a while either way. Core mod is 761MB, Core maps is 1.28GB, 1.0-2.0 patch is 920MB, iathh map pack is 998MB.

Just downloaded this and its pretty neat.... I may go back to BF2 for a while
