How to have a birthday thread shout out!?!

How to setup your account so it shows your birthday in a thread!

You will always get a PM and Email from us saying Happy birthday automatically regardless of the setting here.
As we want to wish you a happy one, but in order to be in the thread you need to change a few settings:



As you can see in the picture if you goto your Control Panel, and click on 'Edit Profile' you will get the same view up.

Anyway, the setting regarding your age is important for these threads to work, if you have a setting other than the last 2 (the selected one and the one below it), you will NOT get mentioned here.

The forum considers your option there.
If you are not wanting your age displayed, choose the 3rd option.

Please remember, selecting "Display Only Age" is like saying
"Don't tell people when my birthday is"
ie, you do not get mentioned in threads.


"Most" of you will have "Display Only Age" as the previous forums only had "show or do not show".


To summarize, if you want mentioned in a thread on your birthday, select option 3 or 4.

Recently a lot of people have been missed in the announcer and the cause is incorrect date of birth or the setting above.

Some of you will have the wrong DOB entered... why?
Cos you just put a date at random just to register.

Normally its not an issue, here its not really.
But it does have an effect like this.

Check the date you have using the same procedure above
If you look at the screen shots you will see my DOB in there 17th Novemeber.

If yours is wrong, please click on 'Admin List' at the bottom there, and let someone in the top section know.
