i gotta say.... this game is freakin awesome! i'm really enjoying it. last night i battled a super huge mutant with the brotherhood of steel at the GNR building.... so awesome!

one question though... it says i need a key to get in the building to go talk to 3 finger...... how do i get in?!

Just talk to all the brotherhood outside the buildding. One of them will unlock the door. If by chance the one you need is dead...search all the corpses for the key.

got it, thought i was gonna have to do that. also... i took on the dead one's armor but it says i need training to put it on... i musta missed that part.... where can i do that?

What I like about this game (in regards to Recon's first question) is that there is so much to do, and you can do whatever.

There is no "right way" or "first way"

I roamed around at first- didnt even enter megaton until 2nd lvl I think. I then stacked up a bunch of missions and then I just chose one to start with "hmm this one looks interesting" and off I went.

Jeffro, you have to advance further in the story plot to wear power armor. The visit to the Citadel will lead you to someone who will train you in how to wear it.
Keep in mind that it isn't the best armor in the game, but its good at your lower levels up until about level 12-14 or so.

Just don't go too far in the main quest. I did that and went ot the end which kind of ruined the side missions for me. I would say don't go past the power armor training.

Yeah..good advice. I believe you can get power armor training two ways. I can't remember b/c I haven't tried yet. I literally was there last night and just killed everyone outside the place. The dang main guy outside wouldn't die though. Butt knocker just fell down, past out and got back up after a few seconds. With full health, none the less.

You can't be snuck up on when your armor yells at you to "Gear up, soldier!" whenever a mutant is within eyesight.

Since the head guy at the Brotherhood is vital to the main quest he is probably indestructable until his part is finished.
