    For our smoking CLR's...

PureSmoker.com - Your #1 Source For ECigs, Parts, & Accessories!

Check that out. I know several people who use this and they say it curves their Nicotine just as well as a cig.

As I said in the other thread, I'd very highly recommend Chanitx if you want to quit. Helped me, my dad, my brother, and my uncle to stop, with 5 years of it for my brother and I, like 45 or so for my dad, and 35-40 for my uncle.

Quitting CHANTIX is a Prescription Medicine to Help Adults Quit Smoking
    Chantix Information from Drugs.com

There are some side effects, worst any of us got were very very strange dreams, but well worth it imo.

Puresmoker gives you a Nicotine fix without the smoke... it's actually an atomizer that uses water with Nicotine and has lots of flavors. Anything from strawberry to menthol light...

I quit by switching to chewing and then dropping that. A friend had done this so I tried it and it worked. For some reason I found quitting the chew was easier then the cigarettes. I'm down to under 10 premium cigars a year now.

The biggest thing about chantix is.. If ANYONE in your family has a history of mental problems, then you SHOULD NOT take it.

I used it and I failed but I do plan on going back to it. I had a lot of family problems and I know it's an excuse but it was bad timing.

Anyways, after I started taking chantix, I started to look stuff up on it. This stuff mess's with your head and is known to cause suicidal thoughts and in worst case scenario's, suicide. As it is now, there is a huge law suit against chantix and it's got the super bad red label.

So you just have to really think about your families history when taking this one.

The pills gave me the worst nightmares ever

I had strange dreams, as did my dad and brother when we took it, but never nightmares. As far as the suicides go, there have been reported cases, and there is warnings, but I don't think it's a real high risk. I'd make an appointment and discuss it with your doctor first in any case, see what they think, what alternatives are, what their experience with it is, as you should do with any new drug you're taking.

I just know that cases personal to me have all been positive and worked out all for the best.

It did work for hubby and me as well and like I said, even w/ the nightmares, I do plan on trying it again. The stress that I had before, is gone now and I know I can do it again. I was amazed at how the meds worked.

And Recon, it freaked me out at the time. At first I thought I was going crazy. I had never had nightmares like that before. As soon as I stopped taking the meds, the nightmares stopped but now I know what to expect.

When the Dr gave us the persc. he never told us about any side effects and also, my husband works at the hospital and so we fill our prescriptions there. They don't give you the papers that tell you what side effects to watch for and when to contact a Dr and so that's why I looked the stuff up on webmd as well as a few other sites.

But being on the medication and knowing the side effects now, I know what can happen and I got darth_nevus to get chantix and he quit and hasn't started back up. It's just the mental illness part can be scary and it is a possibility that this drug can cause problems.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
