    This sincerely bites!

I hope everyone is ok, can't you imagine being in the cold for so long. Kinda makes you think something really needs an infrastructure overhaul on power distribution.
If anyone here has been affected or knows someone that is, my prayers are with you.

Oh wow, that sucks We got hit here in Central PA by about 4 inches of snow and a layer of ice/freezing rain on top, but it hasn't been too bad and I was able to make it in to work for 8am with no trouble.

We avoided ice again up here in VT. We ended getting about a foot of powdery snow. I hope they get the power lines back up soon.

Parents lost power, as did grandparents. Good thing is that KY is already use to ice storms, so they know how to fix the down lines fast so people don't freeze.

            Toothy raccoon bit off manhood

A FEISTY raccoon has bitten off a pervert?s PENIS as he was trying to rape the animal.

Alexander Kirilov, 44, was on a drunken weekend with pals when he leapt on the terrified ? but toothy ? fur ball.

?When I saw the raccoon I thought I?d have some fun,? he told stunned casualty surgeons in Moscow.

Now Russian plastic surgeons are trying to restore his mangled manhood.

?He?s been told they can get things working again but they can?t sew back on what the raccoon bit off," said a pal.

?That?s gone forever so there isn?t going to be much for them to work with."

Did they have a generator to help? I hope they are ok, I saw something on the news talking about some of the areas and mid Feb to get the power restored.

And Blaze, that was just crazy and not really appropriate for this thread. There are a lot of people that are in a seriously dangerous situation.

My grandfather use to be an electrical engineer.... He's got solar panels, car batteries wired up in combo, UPS's, generators...ect...ect. Parents just went to a friends house for a few days while the lines near their house where restored.

It's good to hear they are ok. When you talk to them next time tell them a couple of North Carolinians (Wifey and I) are sending prayers their way.

I can identify with darkness, having been through several hurricanes and ice storms. Why is it always freezing cold or hot as hades when the power goes out?
