I'd like to know if your daughter has the callouses on the edges of her index and thumb like my sister does.

My mother went to the unlimited plan just in case this ever happens again. It serious cost her something like $970 bucks, not quite 1k when this happend.

Overall her grades are in the toilet, and things like this are probably a reason why.

Man. Even if she were awake for 16 hours a day, over 30 days, that's about a text every two minutes for an entire month.

Even going with Apache's number, I'm not sure I've ever had 5,000 conversations of any kind with most folks I know, in the entire time I've known them.

LOL never under estimate to gabbing abilities of a modern teenage girl. If you figure that most texts are between 230PM and 1030PM that's 8 hours and if you divide 12875 by 30 you get 429 which is around 53.6 an hour. Now the weekends could change thing a bit but that's still a lot of texting.

Interesting to have her count her every spoken word and see if it tops that number.

That's an addiction that would put any comparison to shame, unless you count every breath you take ! That ..... should be safe from your daughter's overall texting number.

This may be true I will try to pay attention the next time I'm stuck in the truck with 4 of them at a time. I usually just try and escape to my happy place.

You know guys she maintains good grades, and in the state tests she scores in the %97.00. She also does gymnastics. They text each other constantly while they are hanging out they even text each other while they are riding in a car but you can carry on a conservation with her and it's not being constantly interrupted with texts. That's why these numbers supprised me so much.

Does she text while she drives? I hope not but, I see so many that do. It ranks right up there with women putting on makeup while they drive.

She isn't driving yet and when she does I don't think she will text while driving because she had a friend killed himself while texting with her.

The only time it's been a problem is one time while docking the boat. I'm kind of new top docking the boat so I have a pre docking briefing her job was to get the bowline to the guy when we got close. Well she threw the line at the guy and before it even got to him she had picked up her phone and answered a text. The problem is that the guy missed the line. I yelled "drop the phone and get with the program" and she did. Now I brief that there will be no cell phone usage while docking just like in my plane.

For the record, Brandon ( aka BranFlakes ) age 14 receives approx 6,000 -7,000 per month.

If you leave his phone on the table and time it.... he gets a text approx every 45 seconds or so. ?!!?


My comment on the whole thing is " PICK UP THE FRIGGIN PHONE AND TALK TO PEOPLE " !!! and don't get me started on TWITTER !!! that's whole thing is just ridiculous !!
