Or do the right thing and buy the hardware from Apple.

Not advocating stealing OSX or other apple software, it's just an interesting article (that doesn't even tell you where to get the hacked software), especially the fact that they hacked it so easily to work on other hardware. As the author points out you'd think that Apple would want to get their OS running on as many computers as possible to steal some market share from MS, although I'm guessing they don't want the headache of dealing with the tons upon tons of possible configurations out there now.

As of this moment, I run Windows due to the availability of the software that I use on it and the fact that it's designed for Windows, on my desktop. Running Ubuntu on my laptop. I'd never install Mac OS because there's really jackshit that works for it, and I like Linux better if I want an alternative to Windows.

thing is though, ever since day 1 with apple, and more so now even with them going to intel procs, they don't use a bios chip. they have their own. hence why installing a different os always goes to the pen.
        i'lll have to read this.

I did some freelance work for a client last month and they were running OSX on a few Dell XPS laptops. I was thinking ewwww OSX, ewwwwww Dell. I never even stopped to think that the Mac OS shouldn't be on there.

Isn't it just BSD derivative which tends to out perform Linux and has no GNU taint. Meaning you can do whatever you want with the software (i.e sell it or make it free) absolutely no restriction
