I think that a good number of the people this affects are already aware of the situation.

I was born with dual citizenship because my mother is an American citizen, but that was not considered official until I went through the application process years later.

It will depend where you are. In the Excited States, you will be considered full blown American. In Canuck land, you'll be considered full blown Canadian. (provided you went through the formal process)

Taxes are determined mostly by residency rather than citizenship.

My mother told me that my brother and I were born before they made certain rules and that all we had to do was fill out paperwork and we could have dual citizenship. My mother has some chunk of land on the water in Nova Scotia. Hmmm maybe I could start a whole new life.
