    I did the math

I filled up with 35.47 litres today
    9.370 Gal US
    7.802 Gal UK

    I did 328 miles.
    So I did
    35mpg US
    42mpg UK

    That good?

Yeah....probably around the best you'll get with current technology and not using a hybrid, etc. Especially good for a '95. My car gets around 31mpg last time I calculated it, and that's a 2008 vehicle.

Thats pretty good sirex for the age. Make sure you service it regular and check the tyre pressures, all this helps. I only half fill my tank these days to reduce weight therefore reduce fuel burnt pulling the fuel and took all the junk out of my People carrier including the 2 rear seats also. Careful gear changing (stick shift) makes a big difference too.

At least you have someone beat! (maybe only by a little bit though)

The M1 Abrams tank will need approximately 300 gallons every eight hours; this will vary depending on mission, terrain, and weather. A single tank takes 10 minutes to refuel. Refueling and rearming of a tank platoon--four tanks--is approximately 30 minutes under ideal conditions.
              # 0.6 miles per gallon.
              # 60 gallons per hour when traveling cross-country
              # 30+ gallons per hour while operating at a tactical ideal
              # 10 gallons basic idle
              # A mine plow will increase the fuel consummation rate of a tank by 25 percent

Actually, I get 19 on the highway. I did have a 1973 Nova that got 8 on the highway. Of course it wasn't quite stock.
And gas was a lot cheaper back then. The cheapest I can remember gas I was about 7 and it was .08 a gallon. Of course this was during a price war.

My R1 (bike) gets around 40mpg not bad considering its a high performance machine. My pickup gets 8 to 10. So I guess it evens out.

I've never actually used my car hard, except a few times.
I tend to keep the tires at presure, except if i forget lmao.

I'm not that 'car' inclined, as long as it goes and works, i'm happy...

Good to hear thats a good mpg, i actually have a lower mpg than the book says, but thats expected considering they mesured that at 55mph constant...

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
