halflife 2 confusion

so ok i'm confused. half life 2 (the orgiinal) is not the same as half like 2 episode 1?

The episodes pick up where HL2 left off. So episode 1 continues after the end of HL2, episode 2 continues from episode 1, etc. I can't wait til episode 3 comes out

i'm so dumb... i played hl2 then bought episode 2 and i'm like .... wtf is goin on? lol.

but i beat hl2 ep 2 the other day so i'm just readiing the episode 1 walkthrough to meld the story lines.

Irks me to have such an ending then don't follow up for years.

Ep2 left me hanging on a cliff....Valve is playing with my emotions with these "To Be Continued" they love to throw on you.
