MySpace - Deleting SENT email before they read it

I notice that when you send someone an email...and if you check the "Sent" link...you can see what was "Sent" and what had bean already been "read" by the user.

If you selete the "Sent" message, will they not see it..is it "gone"?

It was my understanding that deleting the "Sent" message will simply delete it from your side, not theirs. It will be removed from your Sentbox but will still be in their Inbox.
