    Well, I'm Addicted...

    ...To Earl Grey tea.

Currently I am taking a course at the local university that requires me to get up at 5:30 A.M. I had quite a bit a difficulty to stay alert this early and I tried all kinds of coffee unsuccessfully, then as a last resort I decided to brew some tea. I head to my cupboard, "caffeine free", "decaffeinated", "low caffeine", and then I see it, Earl Grey. I decided that if coffee couldn't keep me awake I needed to make this heavy duty so I went for 3 bags in one cup of water with a touch of milk and honey. In retrospect this may have been a bit much, but I can't let hindsight stand in my way because it worked. It worked unbelievably well and ever since it has been an integral part of my morning.

Anyway, enough about me (my ego couldn't get any bigger), so I would like to ask other tea drinkers for any tips/ideas/silly stories(the best kind!).

My favorite tea is the Good Earth caffeine free original kind. (the sweet and spicy herbal tea)

My favorite is chai spice. I am not a tea drinker at all but I do love my coffee. I had a cousin staying with us and she bought some of this for me to try and now I'm hooked. However, I don't know if it's decaf or not. It's good w/ a little milk and sugar.
So go on, go on be your own, go on be your own star!

I do not drink coffee but, I drink a lot of tea. Earl Grey is one of my favorites. I drink it unsweetened if cold and with a little honey if it is hot.

Tazo Chai organic black here !! I only drink it over winter or when I get less than 3 hours of sleep. I gave one to a teacher a few years back and he acted like I had given him an illegal stimulant the next time I saw him.

My Spanish teacher introduced our class to Yerba Mate. It is very good when you add some honey/sugar to it.

Invest in a good tea pot, some kind of tea ball or a pot with a filter in it, then go buy some loose leaf. It won't be quite as "bitter" and you can brew it weaker or stronger based off how much tea you put in as well as how long you brew it.

I'd suggest some good white tea if you like regular black teas (Earl Gray being black tea with oil of bergamot added). White tea is picked earlier and tends to be more expensive, but it has a very very smooth taste.

I also like Lapsang Suchong....it has a very smoky flavor that I love. Jasmine tea is delicious if you like Jasmine. I love coffee and tea both...always looking for more good ones

Never boil your tea leaves. That will make the tea bitter.

I don't boil the leaves themselves. Let the water boil on a pot on the stove, take it off and let it cool slightly before pouring over the leaves. Before pouring the hot water in over the leaves put hot water from the tap in the pot (without the leaves in) so the pot is warm when you pour the water in over the leaves.

I just microwave the mug to heat it up before pouring in the water.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
