ALBANY NY ? The largest Wal-Mart Supercenter in the US is located in Albany NY! On May 17, 2008 the newly renovated and expanded Crossgates Commons Wal-Mart Supercenter in Albany held its grand openening, inviting the community to visit the largest Wal-Mart in the US.

Wal-Mart?s 2300 Supercenters across the nation typically average 187,000 square feet. The Crossgates Commons Wal-Mart Supercenter is nearly 260,000 square feet.

My wife had to go today just to check it out, she simply said... " What a Freak Show "

LOL. I just avoid the place on week ends but during the week I go there to get my big bag of trail mix for $4.50.

Little old Valdosta had the largest Wal MArt a couple of years ago. I never could figure out why they build them that big for a town of 100,000. And we still have the largest Lowes.

I try and avoid WalMart as much as I can. I don't mind paying an extra $0.10 for something at a local retailer.

Although as everyone else, its still my bottom line, and they sometimes do have things that are ridiculously under priced.

Well Wally's world caused my local mall to close down as they said there were going to build a supercenter there(lockport, ny) and they never did. Wal Mart kills buisness for everyone else.

Yep, we have a main commercial street in my city where many businesses are located. WalMart opened and within a year, many of them closed or moved.

Wal Mart has put more small businesses out of business than any other company.
