Hiroshima in pics - 64 years ago today

    http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/200...years_ago.html

Some amazing pics from the link. I was just reading the book 'Hiroshima' last week, so this is quite timely and reminds us of a war that very few still living today were actually a part of.

to our remaining few WWII veterans for their sacrifices.
Oh if a man tried to take his time on Earth and prove before he died what one man's life could be worth, well I wonder what would happen to this world ? - Harry Chapin

Really no different than gas chambers. Tragic.

It's horrible and a tragedy that it had to happen, especially to the civilian populations of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but I still think it was the right decision to go with to bring a quick, decisive, and least cost of life end to the war.

Thanks for posting the link WT, many of those pictures I had never seen.

I'm saddened in looking at these pictures and knowing that countries still have nukes and have not learned from the past.

[this is where my funky sig would go. But I don't have one.
So all you get is this crappy text]

Having tried many cases I've given up on expensive ones. Not convinced they are significantly better than an inexpensive gel case for 1/10 the money....
