****CAUTION DO NOT USE THE URL REFERENCED IN THIS THREAD******
****It will try and infect your computer with a Trojan Virus!! ******
All, I have been analyzing a trojan virus a friend of mine got hit with today from a Facebook link he thought was a video from a friend. The friend was infected so the virus shows up a "My Latest Video" and you click on it and your are redirected from a site in Montgomery Alabama to one of various sites that are setup or infected in different locations. It displays a page that APPEARS like a facebook page but it isn't.
The main thing here I want to let you all know, is when you're using your facebook account watch you URL address when you see something that tells you the latest flash version is required or something similiar to that. Move your mouse pointer around and look at the status bar on the bottom of your browser and see if there is an IP address (e.g. 192.168.1.40) or a website (e.g. Google). Usually if you see something like this telling you the latest version of something is required, then go get it from the official site. Don't just click on a link cause you really want to see the videos
Bottom line is after checking this thing out it really takes care of you by updating a few important files on your system, going out and downloading what it needs from different sites, one in the US, one I saw from Israel and another from Moldova.
Just for your information, if you see the following address IGNORE IT.
