Pet Peeve - Halloween parties way too early

Okay, what's the deal with people having Halloween Parties WAAAY too early.

I am working on a costume, and wanting to have it done.....sometime soon.....then I found out that there's like 3 Halloween parties I can attend, but they're ALL on the 17th!!

One, why can't they at least have it on the FOLLOWING saturday, or sometime close to halloween?

What's the deal doing it MID month?

Don't want to conflict with other parties or previous engagements? They're doing things for their kids when the actual holiday roles around?

Personally my brother and I are having our party on the 30th cause we want it as close to Halloween as we can get ona night that works for a lot of people.

I can understand why people would want to do it early though.

Yeah, but 17th is TOO early, I'm wondering why they couldn't do it on the 24th. :P
