What is truely "Nerdy"?

With nerdy or geeky being the "in" thing these days, when is it undesirable to be nerdy?

Typically social ineptitude can be the TRUE "nerdy", of the undesirable kind.

Ever met a TRUE nerd?

The one that is unkempt, doesn't dress right, un color co-ordinated, and most of all can be gross?

There's this one guy that I know, no joke, farts audibly in public thinking it's funny.

Some can smell funny or have questionable hygene.

Sometimes their behavior is all around creepy.

Ever known guys like this? Around our old comic shop we had a couple that would come in acting as such?

Know anyone as such?

People who have their shirt collar pop out and guys who wear pink shirt/golfshirts. For some reason, they think they are cool with their collar poped out..Im starting to see my fellow latino's doing that crap.

Nerdy is when you are wearing a Wal*mart colored shirt, and brown pants while shopping (At WalMart) and being stopped by someone asking for help choosing a camera. Fast forward 10 minutes, you lead her into the register with a brand new camera with 2.4" screen with a 8 megapixel lens...

There's this one dude at our mall...there's always someone that "sticks out" even in a public place. He strikes up random conversations with people he doesn't know.....and he's loud about it, too.

Like they'd be shopping for soap, and you'd over hear him say, "......yeah, I sometimes like to use soap when I wash my dog at my house out in the backyard, but I do it on the driveway because sometimes after my dad mows the lawn there are glass clippings in the yard that can get on the dog.....so it would be defeating the purpose....so that's why I wash the dog on the driveway!"

Meanwhile, the people are getting uncomfortable

The guy I told you about that farts in front of people and friends to make himself the "life of the party"......actually shamelessly admits he road his bike to a porn shop on his BICYCLE, which is an HOURS ride by car. LOL

He lives in the stix, and there's no porn shop out there, so he rode his bike there.

Closest i got is standing a pc shop, listening to a convo about usb hubs, the assistant leading the guy the wrong way.
I chirp in with "could not over hear, but if your looking for x y z go for this one, it does it all and personally i'd recommend it, i've yet to have issues with it"

I hate it when those commission guys try push an item cos they get extra for it, and the customer loses out.

Typically a nerd is someone who has book smarts and no social grace and is usually not known for having any physique.
