Yuck..being a Cleveland Indians fan it was a WS that I will soon forget.
As far as the Yanks...guess if you spend enough for long enough it will eventually get you something. While there's plenty of debates on whether the Luxury Tax in MLB actually does anything (i.e. # of different WS champions vs. # of different playoff teams) I do know it's only 5 more months until spring training...

As a business model you must admire the Yankees.
If it wasn't sports and we didn't have such emotions about it, many could appreciate the fact they spend money to make money.
That in most business is usually a recipe for success.
