    Storm Warnings

What is the point of them? Is it just where I live and they don't get them right or what? I know I read years ago that they changed the way they put them out because of if they didn't and something serious happened, they would be blamed. I think that was in the book The Perfect Storm.

For the last month, almost every day we've had storm warnings of some kind. Mostly saying that we are going to get buried in snow. So far, nothings happened.

Now that I posted this, we'll probably get the 8-13 inches they said we will.

For us in the midwest winter storm warnings are a sign for (stupid)people to freak out, invade walmart , buy all the supplies they can for two weeks for a two day snowstorm, drive like idiots, then get stuck in ditches.

Normal Tstorm warnings are more of a 'heads-up' thing around here. tornado warnings are the one to take seriously around here. If you have a warning, chances are you will have a tornado with 40 miles of you.

I believe they're called storm warnings because if the storm was a certainty they'd be called storm certainties

But, if that is true then they should be called Storm Maybes.

I can't help it...with all the 'maybes' and 'certainties'....it might get to the point that you listen to the weather forecast and it says "cloudy, with a chance for meatballs"!
